The story of this film revolves around Lord Krishna, who succesfully killed Jarasandha with help from Arjuna. It's an action film and it's about "Krishna" (Suriya) and "Arjun" (Ravi Teja). It features Sonal Chauhan as Kunti and Namitha as Duryodhana's queen Gandhari. The story revolves around Lord Krishna (Suriya), who is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is praised as "Kalki" by the Pandavas and Kauravas. Bhishma (Ravi Teja) is a powerful character and his name gets recited in nearly every script of Telugu script. The movie starts with Bhishma's very interesting conversation with Karna (Mohanlal). It shows the great competition between Krishna and Arjun for Kunti's hand in marriage. Later, both of them join their respective families to fight against Jarasandha (Prakash Raj), son of Janakanadu. The movie has a lot of fighting scenes, which are all well shot. Bhishma's story is not about Krishna's family but focuses on the war against Jarasandha. The war scenes are also well shot. This guys fight to the end fearing everyone. It is a war film with one great emotional line delivered by Krishna in the final battle - "Ketkam Samadhanam." But it's an innocent love story between Krishna and Arjun, which keeps you engaged throughout the film. The actors also deliver their lines in an impressive way and Sonal Chauhan plays Kunti very well. Ravi Teja is good as Bhishma. The film also addresses the gender bias in our society. Krishna mentions, "A woman is great if she takes care of her husband and children well, leave the rest to her husband." Dialogues are good and each scene has a pleasant feel. The movie also has a few mass scenes that are well shot. The music of the film is composed by DSP with lyrics penned by Kedarnath. The songs are really entertaining. There are four songs in this movie. Suriya's voice suits for Krishna's role well. It's a nostalgia trip for old-generation Telugu people, who watched popular TV serials on Bhismadevatha in 1990s. Cinematography by M.V. Vindhyaraja is good and the film has an exceptional climax with the final battle that is really entertaining. The movie begins with Karna (Mohanlal) congratulating Bhishma (Ravi Teja) on his engagement to Kunti (Sonal Chauhan). The scene takes place in the midst of a huge gathering, where everyone is constantly having fun and enjoying themselves.
